Emotional Landscapes

My finished or final landscapes are mostly larger and more emotional paintings 27"x40" or 30"x40" which I have worked up from small plein air and or smaller studies that I've liked and felt were of merit. When I find a painting that works so well on a greater format and scale with good working composition and color theory, I sometimes, but very rarely take a painting to a whole new level to the largest size for a pastel. But again only if I think it deserves the chance to be bigger and better, not by size, but by additional information that can tell a more complete story. These are cherished by my collectors and art museums that have included these special pieces in their permanent collections.
